A Sad Goodbye but a Happy Hello!

GOODBYE TO VERITY MOORE

If you haven’t been into the clinic for a while, you probably don’t know, but Verity is expecting her first child, a daughter, in September.

Whilst it is fantastic news, it also means that Verity will be leaving us in August for good, because as well as that she has taken over the ownership of the clinic she works in, in Salisbury. Verity always likes to challenge herself and to work harder than most people!

This means that she will not be returning to the Avenue Clinic after she has had the baby as she will need to concentrate all of her efforts on the baby and the running of her other clinic.

We are very sad to see her go and she will be very much missed by us all.  Verity has been at the clinic for 8 years now and she has been one of the most lovely and talented practitioners we have had here as I am sure those of you who have been treated by her will attest.

However, her going is for exciting reasons so we all wish her the very best for the future.

We are delighted, however, to introduce you to her talented replacement, Matthew Savage.

HELLO TO MATTHEW SAVAGE

Matthew will be taking over Verity’s patient base, so please don’t worry, the great care you received from Verity will continue after she leaves.

Matthew is from Romsey, originally and attended the Anglo European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth, as did Verity. He has been working for several years at the Chislehurst Chiropractic Clinic in Kent, where he came to understand the importance of a holistic approach when managing patients.

Sport has always been an important part of his school, college and university life, having represented Hampshire at tennis and his school and college at various other team sports. It was through a sporting injury that he discovered the benefits of chiropractic treatments and he is passionate about developing this area of chiropractic treatment further.

Matthew missed living close to his family and friends and so took the decision to move back to Hampshire and work with us at the Avenue Chiropractic Clinic.

Matthew looks forward to meeting all of those patients that he has not yet had the chance to say hello to, so please do make your usual appointment to see him, safe in the knowledge that he will keep you pain free, just as Verity has done for all of these years.

Like Verity, Matthew has made sport a big part of his life. This is what he says about his achievements to date.

“Tennis is my main sport and I competed at a county level representing Hampshire in all age groups up to the age of 16, as well as representing my school and college in other sports including football (as captain), rugby, hockey and cricket.

Injuries were inevitable when playing sport at this level, and I tore my supraspinatus muscle while representing my school at rugby. Extensive rehabilitation treatments sparked my interest in the human body and how it works and is the reason why I chose a career as a chiropractor so I can help other people.

I am also a keen golfer and have an interest in photography, with one of my photos used by the English Tourist Board on the French and German Buzzfeed domains.

I don’t ONLY treat sporting injuries though so if you are not a sports enthusiast, do please come to see me!”

If you have any questions about your continuing care, please don’t hesitate to call the clinic or email Matthew at info@avenue-clinic.co.uk.
